Biometric identification system uses Basler cameras
The Russian Technoserv Group (Moscow, Russia) is using Basler (Ahrensburg, Germany) cameras for use in their biometric identification systems.
Technoserv develops automated identification systems to ensure safety in public places. The systems use Basler industrial and network cameras to capture images of individuals which are then processed by the company's Cascade-Flow recognition software in a customer's data center.
So far, Technoserv systems have been introduced in a number of sports and transportation facilities throughout Russia, providing automated face recognition capabilities to support security forces.
"Basler industrial cameras provide high-quality uncompressed video, which is necessary for the operation of any system conducting video analytics," says Andrey Khrulev, Head of Biometrics Security Systems at Technoserv.
