On March 12, 2013, Vision Systems Design will host a webcast presented by Eric Gross, chair of the Automated Imaging Association (AIA; Ann Arbor, MI, USA) USB3 Vision Committee.
Titled "Benefits of the new USB3 Vision Standard," the webcast will describe how the new USB3 Vision standard builds on earlier USB standards but provides an optimized standard for machine-vision applications that require more deterministic, high-throughput image-processing capabilities in a plug-and-play environment. Gross will review key technical details and their impact; describing, for instance, how the GenICam generic programming interface will allow components from different manufacturers to easily communicate with one another.
The webcast will also provide real-world examples along with covering issues related to system design when using USB3 Vision. Through the interactive Q&A session, audience members will have opportunity to ask about applying this information for their specific needs.
