Quick hit: New Microscan Link provides additional connectivity options
Microscan’s new Microscan Link connectivity provides vision engineers, programmers, and other users with additional options for communicating with Microscansmart cameras.
Microscan Link is available in AutoVISIONmachine vision software, which enables a method for connecting parameters inside AutoVISION jobs to outside industrial control systems by clicking the “link” icon within the software.
Whether communication inspection results from a smart camera to a PLC, or communicating between multiple cameras remotely from a networked system, Microscan Link ensures connectivity between AutoVISION and the entirefactory floor, according to the press release. It also allows job parameters to be changed from an outside system and makes the integration of vision into any automation system easy, says Nico Hooiveld, Microscan machine vision product manager.
“From industrial Ethernet communication to discrete I/O and serial protocols, Microscan Link supports a wide range of automation systems and devices. AutoVISION and Microscan Link work together to provide seamless factory-wide communication through a simple interface and one-click connectivity,” he said.
