CCD camera from Spectral Instruments enables scientific imaging
Spectral Instruments’ 1110S camera—which is suitable for use in astronomy imaging—is designed to accommodate the multi-port single-chip CCD image sensors in the market today.
Spectral Instruments’ 1110S camera is designed to accommodate the multi-port single-chip CCD image sensors in the market today. The camera includes a 10k x 10k 16-port 9 µm pixel CCD image sensor from Semiconductor Technology Associates and a 9k x 9k 10 µm pixel CCD image sensor from e2v. The 1110s can cool CCDs below -100°C by crycooling and is available with thermoelectric cooling as well. The camera’s common readout speeds start at 100kHz per port and can achieve MHz speeds (per port), depending on CCD selection. In addition, the 1110s feature Spectral Instrument’s SI Image Software Suite for camera control, data manipulation, and archiving. The 1110S camera is suitable for use in astronomy imaging.
