Quick hit: Latest AutoVISION software release includes PROFINET industrial protocol, multi-language interface
Oct. 15, 2013
Microscan Link is available in AutoVISION machine vision software, which enables a method for connecting parameters inside AutoVISION jobs to outside industrial control systems. AutoVISION software’s latest release features expanded industrial connectivity and a new multi-language interface.
Specifically, the latest software update includes PROFINET industrial protocol in addition to Ethernet communication and discrete I/O and serial protocols. PROFINET is a standard for industrial automation using a computer network. It uses standards such as TCP/IP and Ethernet, and features a modular structure, which allows users to select only necessary functions for different applications.
AutoVISION 2.1 release also features a multi-language interface to provide a simplified vision solution for German and Chinese-speaking users.
AutoVISION and Microscan Link work in tandem to provide factory-wide communication through a simple interface and one-click connectivity.
