XIMEA announces USB 3.0 camera with 500 fps frame rate

With the release of its latest camera, XIMEA’s USB3 xiQ family now ranges from VGA to 4 MPixel resolutions with corresponding speeds of 500 fps and 90 fps, respectively. The cameras are suitable for use in such applications as robotics, inspection, microscopy, industrial automation, and packaging.

With the release of its latest camera, XIMEA’s USB3 xiQ family now ranges from VGA to 4 MPixel resolutions with corresponding speeds of 500 fps and 90 fps, respectively. xiQ cameras feature CMOS image sensors from CMOSIS, e2v, and ON Semiconductor, and are available in two versions: in anodized milled camera housing made of space-grade aluminum alloy or as board level units which use a single planar board. In addition, the cameras come with xiAPI software, which is compatible with more than 30 image processing libraries and packages, including Cognex, ImagePro, NI LabVIEW, Matrox MIL, and MVTec Halcon. USB3 vision cameras from Ximea are suitable for use in such applications as robotics, inspection, microscopy, industrial automation, and packaging. These cameras will be featured at SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg, Germany from November 26-28, 2013.
