Datalogic introduces contrast and luminescence sensors to S8 series

Feb. 11, 2014
Datalogic has announced the releases of new contrast and luminescence sensors, the S8-W13 and the S8-U, to the S8 series of photoelectric sensors.

Datalogic has announced the releases of new contrast and luminescence sensors, the S8-W13 and the S8-U, to the S8 series of photoelectric sensors. The S8-W13 contrast sensor was developed for the detection of colored registration marks on high speed printing and packaging machines. The sensor reaches 25 kHz of switching frequency with 10 µs of jitter. The S8-U sensor is a luminescence sensor with UV emission which features the same performance as previous S8 models, but in a more compact and industrial housing. S8-U sensors are designed to detect invisible registration marks and UV sensitive materials in packaging, materials processing, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.
