Newnex launches FireNEX-5000S USB 3.0 optical repeater

Newnex has announced the release of its next generation USB 3.0 optical repeater, the FireNEX-5000S, which is capable of transferring USB 3.0 signals up to 300 meters in machine vision applications.

Newnex has announced the release of its next generation USB 3.0 optical repeater, the FireNEX-5000S. The FireNEX-5000S is capable of transferring USB 3.0 signals up to 300 meters and can be used as a standalone USB 3.0 industrial hub with locking screws. The repeater features two USB 3.0 A ports (upstream unit), one USB A port and one USB B port (downstream unit), all of which are USB3 Vision compliant, and a standard optical port. FireNEX-5000S was tested and is compatible with the following USB 3.0 cameras: Point Grey’s Ladybug5, Grasshopper and Flea3, Lumenera Lt225, The Imaging Source DMK and DFK, Hamamatsu C11440-22CU, and Ximea XiQ. FireNEX-5000S is suitable for use in machine vision applications.
