EPIX, Inc. has announced the release of its PIXCI EB1mini Camera Link frame grabber, which captures from a base configuration line scan or area scan Camera Link camera. The PCI Express mini frame grabber, which measures approximately 2 x 1.2” in size, transfers images to the PCIe bus at 250 Gbps and features sustain image capture at rates of 200 MB/s. The EB1mini also has a connector for triggers and strobes and also features shutter control, bit-packing capability, 64-bit memory addressing, and video rate sequence capture. In addition, the mini frame grabbers come with the XCAP-Lite imaging software, which enables control of image capture and camera. EPIX will showcase the PIXCI EB1 mini Camera Link frame grabber—which is suitable for use in airborne, automotive, factory automation, mobile, and underwater imaging applications—at SPIE DSS 2014 from May 5-9 in Baltimore, MD.
