Point Grey has announced the additional of color and monochrome versions of the BFLY-PGE-03S2 Blackfly GigE camera, which feature Power over Ethernet, support for third-party imaging libraries, temperature and status monitoring, and color interpolation. The 0.3 MPixel cameras feature a 1/3” Sony ICX424 CCD image sensor with 7.4 µm x 7.4 µm pixel size that is capable of achieving a frame rate of 84 fps (at 648 x 488 pixels). The cameras also feature pixel binning functionality, gamma correction, look up table, and in-field updatable firmware. BFLY-PGE-03S2 cameras are suitable for use in factory automation, panel alignment, and 3D scanning applications.
