CARRIDA is a new automatic license plate / automatic number plate reader hardware-independent OEM software designed for integration into surveillance systems. The software features a processing time of approximately 30 ms and a recognition accuracy of more than 96%. This includes simultaneous vehicle plate recognition in multiple lanes and recognition of two line vehicle plates. In addition, the software can be used throughout the world, as country codes on license plates are recognized with more than 90% accuracy.CARRIDA can be integrated with IP, USB, and GigE cameras, as well as frame grabbers for analog cameras. It is also suitable for use with Windows or Linux-based mobile or embedded systems and reads all common still image and video formats. Typical applications include access control, toll and speed control, traffic analysis, and management of transport fleets.
