DENSO’s latest robot, the VS-050, is a six-axis robot that features an ISO 5 cleanroom rating and specially designed coverings for applications such as pharmaceutical, medical, and life sciences applications where biocontamination control is required. An internal wiring option enables users to connect GigE cameras and servo grippers directly to the flange, preventing cables from becoming tangled or interfering with peripheral equipment. The aseptic VS-050 features an overall arm length of 520 mm (255 mm first arm, 265 mm second arm), a maximum payload of 4 kg, a maximum composite speed of 9,690 mm/s, and a repeatability of ±0.02 mm. In addition, a protective out coating and sealed joints allow the VS-050 to be safely sterilized with hydrogen peroxide or UV light.
