Automate 2015 is already 50% larger than the previous show, with new and returning exhibitors having secured more than 150% of exhibit floor space compared to 2013, according to TheAssociation for Advancing Automation (A3).

The show—which was recently named one of the "Top 10Manufacturing Shows" in the United States— will be held in Chicago March 23-26. Its growth, according to A3 president Jeff Burnstein, can be attributed to the overall state of the automation industry.

"The growth of Automate 2015 reflects the enthusiasm and advancement around automation technology," he said. "Automate 2015 provides suppliers, distributors, integrators, and end users an avenue for making connections, learning aboutnew technology, discussing challenges and discovering automation solutions and opportunities."

Automate 2015 also includes a conference featuring the 46thInternational Symposium on Robotics, which provides instructional classes taught by experienced professionals who can speak to the challenges faced by companies using or considering using automation. Topics include robotics, motion control, vision and imaging, and related automation segments. Professionals in the machine vision industry can take classes that are required for the Certified Vision Professional (CVP) designation, which is offered at both basic and advanced levels. CVP testing will be offered at Automate and registration is available here.

At Vision Systems Design, we are particularly excited for the show. In addition to it being a great forum to learn about the latest in automation, it is also the location where we will announce the winners of our first everInnovators Awards program. The Vision Systems Design 2015 Innovators Awards program distinguishes and rewards the most innovative products and services in the global machine vision and image processing industry.
