A few months back when I returned from theVISION show, I wrote an article about the health of the global machine vision market, and how it seemed to be on the rise. Specifically, I talked about reports from the VDMA and AIA which indicated that sales of machine vision components and systems were on the rise, and should continue to do so going into 2015.
In addition to this, the 20-some odd people I spoke with at the show all seemed optimistic about the industry in 2015. Reasons included the expanded use of machine vision in new applications, a rise inglobal exports, and increased use in Asia. With this article, I also put up a poll to see what our readers thought.
