Building on the ProgRes microscope camera family, Jenoptik has launched a new generation of microscope cameras, the ProgRes Gryphax line, which are USB 3.0 cameras that have been designed specifically to address requirements relating to quality assessment and control. The cameras feature 2.2 MPixel progressive scan, global shutter CMOS image sensors with 5.5 µm pixel size that can achieve 30 fps in both live and record camera modes. A new feature in the ProgRes Gryphax line is the live panorama function, which enables a large sample to be scanned automatically in real time, before the sections are combined to form a final overall image. Furthermore, the z-stacking tool has also been updated to be significantly more user-friendly. The cameras come equipped with ProgRes Gryphax software and operate on Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
