Teledyne DALSA introduces next generation smart cameras
Teledyne DALSA has announced the launch of its next generation of smart cameras, the BOA2 series, which feature higher-resolution imaging, dual-core processing, and embedded iNspect Express application software. Three BOA 2 models are currently available, the BOA2 XA2 (2 MPixel), BOA2 XA3 (3 MPixel), and BOA2 XA5 (5 MPixel), each of which features a CMOS image sensor with 5 µm pixel size. The smart cameras—which feature 1.5 GHz dual core processing—can achieve frame rates of 80 fps, 60 fps, and 40 fps, respectively, and also feature GigE and RS232 communications. Additionally, the cameras feature 2 GB of storage and 1 GB of program memory, and an IP67 enclosure. BOA2 camera cameras are particularly well suited for industrial inspection and factory automation applications, according to Teledyne DALSA.
