Designed for pick and place, as well aspackaging applications in food and beverage, the Hornet 565 parallel robot from Adept Technology, Inc. comes with Adept ACE software, an integrated, point-and-click development environment for Adept's entire product portfolio of robots and controls. The robot is compatible with a wide range of GigE and USB 3.0 machine vision cameras, including ace cameras from Basler, which are pictured in the product data sheet. Additionally, the Hornet 565 features a hygienic design that minimizes contamination risks, including an IP65 rating and corrosion-resistant materials for easy wash down. The 115-lb. robot’s extended vertical reach allows for more a workspace of more than 12 ft., enabling a wider variety of packages to be used.
