IDS releases latest software suite for industrial cameras

IDS Imaging Development Systems has released version 4.70 of its software suite, which supports the company’s industrial cameras and is available with a number of new features.

IDS Imaging Development Systems has released version 4.70 of its software suite, which supports the company’s industrial cameras and is available for free download.

Version 4.70 supports the following new camera models from IDS:

  • UI-3590CP: A USB 3.0 camera with an 18 MPixel backside illuminated CMOS image sensor from ON Semiconductor that can achieve 21 fps at full resolution.
  • UI-3140CP: A USB 3.0 camera with a 1.3 MPixel global shutter PYTHON CMOS image sensor from ON Semiconductor that can achieve frame rates up to 169 fps.
  • UI-3260CP: A USB 3.0 camera with a 2.3 MPixel global shutter IMX CMOS image sensor from Sony that can achieve 41 fps at full resolution.
  • UI-3360CP Rev. 2.: A USB 3.0 camera with a 2.2 MPixel global shutter CMOS image sensor from CMOSIS that can achieve frame rates of up to 152 fps.

Additionally, the software release includes new features like “Overheat Protection,” which ensures that uEye CP Rev. 2 cameras are able to monitor themselves, and even put itself into a safe-operating mode to prevent overheating. Another new feature is “Peak White,” which enables users to adjust the percentage of white pixels manually for applications with high-contrast images.
