ON Semiconductor’s new imaging center supports development of new camera designs

ON Semiconductor has announced the opening of a new Imaging Technology Center (ITC) in Detroit, which will support the company as it helps customers select and implement imaging solutions for automotive and other applications.
The imaging laboratory will facilitate the development and turning of new camera designs based on ON Semiconductor’s range of CMOS and CCDimage sensors. The ITC Demo Room will also provide an ongoing showcase of the company’s latest imaging technologies and products. The ITC will feature in-house technology expertise of ON Semi’s engineering staff and is designed to strengthen the company’s close links with key customers in the automotive manufacturing sector working in such areas as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), as well as other markets includingindustrial and security.
"The ITC will provide a valuable resource for our customers working in the rapid growth area of image sensing," said Taner Ozcelik, Senior Vice President, Image Sensor Group at ON Semiconductor. "The new center and the expert staff supporting it provide the perfect engineering support to our extensive and growing range of image sensing products for all applications."
