IMPERX, Inc—a manufacturer of industrial cameras, frame grabbers, and other imaging products—has announced the opening of a new office for research and development in Orlando, FL, USA at the University of Central Florida (UCF) Incubator.
The new office, according to IMPERX, will enable the company to work in close proximity to UCF and to have access to their students and research institutes. UCF is the second largest university in the United States with approximately 61,000.
This past spring, the university was ranked as the 13thmost innovative schools behind institutions like Stanford, MIT, and Harvard. The school is known for its engineering program, with 13 undergraduate, 14 master and 8 doctoral programs available. In addition, UCF houses the Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers (CREOL) which is a graduate college of optical science and engineering.
IMPERX’s new office is located on the UCF campus at Research Parkway, and will be operated by new Director of Research and Development, Lee Kimes.
