USB3 Vision cameras from Point Grey feature latest Sony CMOS image sensors
Adding to its line of Grasshopper3USB3 Vision cameras, Point Grey has announced the release of the GS3-U3-32S4M-C and GS3-U3-51S5M-C cameras, which feature the latest Pregius global shutter CMOS image sensors from Sony. The 3.2 MPixel GS3-U3-32S4M-C camera features the monochrome version of the 1/1.8” Sony IMX252 global shutter CMOS sensor and can achieve a frame rate of up to 121 fps. The 5 MPixel GS3-U3-51S5M-C camera features the monochrome version of the 2/3” Sony IMX250 global shutter CMOS sensor and can achieve a frame rate up to 75 fps. Both models feature 10 and 12-bit ADC, 3.45 µm pixel size, and a USB 3.0 interface. Color models are scheduled to be released in Q4 2015.
