IDS Imaging Development Systems has released version 4.80 of the IDS Software Suite, which is now WHQL-cerified for Windows 10 and supports the upcoming USB 3 uEye CP camera series that is equipped with fast Python sensors from ON Semiconductor.
These CMOS image sensors are designed to provide high frame rates and can partially read out applied areas of interest both horizontally and vertically, thereby achieving frame rates of more than 1,000 fps. With version 4.80 of the software, sensor speed can be increased by adjusting the pixel clock and activating the camera memory in the uEye Cockpit.
Additionally, version 4.80 of the software supports “Vertical AOI Merge Mode,” which enables users to flash per line and apply different light sources when using certain USB 3 uEye CP cameras. The software suite also support Linux and Linux Embedded and is available in 16 different languages.
