VISION 2016, which will be held November 8-10 in Stuttgart, Germany, is expected to have the most amount of exhibitors in the 27-year history of the trade fair.
More than 400 exhibitors from 28 different countries are expected to be in attendance at the show, which will include established market leaders, as well as new companies such as ifm electronic and Bosch Healthcare, according to Messe Stuttgart.
"User expectations of the machine vision industry are increasing steadily,” said Thomas Walter, Divisional Head of Industry & Technology at Messe Stuttgart. "Whether the machine vision customers are active in the automotive, pharmaceutical, food and drinks, packaging, transport or logistics sectors, what the industry requires for production processes and logistics is increasing precision, speed, and data processing power. How this demand is being met can be seen at VISION.”
Products expected to be showcased at VISION 2016 will include industrial cameras with higher frame rates and resolutions, as well as software that enables the integration of machine vision into an overall system. However, companies at the show will offer solutions that go far beyond just the factory floor.
"The cameras and systems of our exhibitors are being used wherever video drones are monitoring the condition of plants, with the aim of reducing the use of pesticides and herbicides in agriculture, just as they are in medicine where camera systems are being used to identify skin cancer,” said Walter.
