Latest HALCON and MERLIC machine vision software to be showcased at VISION 2016
At VISION 2016 in Stuttgart,MVTecwill be highlighting the capabilities of its HALCON 13 and MERLIC 2.1 machine vision software. Set to be released on November 1, HALCON 13 will provide significantly increased performance for shape-based matching, while also providing improved recognition and reading of damaged, occluded, or incomplete barcodes, as well as deformed data codes. It will also feature a new texture inspection tool, enhanced deep learning-based OCR, an improved surface-based 3D matching tool, and the automatic identification of dot print fonts.
MERLIC 2.1, which is now available internationally in nine languages, improves existing features of the software while optimizing usability, providing bug fixes, and making it easier and more convenient to create machine vision application. The software will be available in a 64-bit version for the first time, and in future versions, the usability of existing technologies will be improved, including the ability to integrate more processes.
