PCI Express cameras from XIMEA achieve high speeds without frame grabbers

XIMEA has released a number of new models from is xiB line of PCI Express cameras, which target applications including automated inspection, security and surveillance, cinematography, motion capture, and mapping. 

XIMEA has released a number of new models from is xiB line of PCI Express cameras, which target applications including automated inspection, security and surveillance, cinematography, motion capture, and mapping. New models include the CB120 (12 MPixel CMV12000 CMOS image sensor from CMOSIS, 330 fps at full resolution), CB500 (50 MPixel CMV50000 sensor from CMOSIS, 30 fps at full resolution), CB013 (1.1 MPixel LUX13HS CMOS image sensor from LUXIMA, 3500 fps at full resolution. All cameras feature a PCIe cable interface implemented inside, to eliminate the need for frame grabbers. Image data is delivered and stored within PC memory, making it immediately available for processing and encoding by CPU and/or GPU. Additionally, XIMEA’s SDK/API enables the use of Windows, Linux, Mac OSX, and offers a full image processing pipeline on Nvidia GPU in real time.
