Strategic Robotic Systems’ FUSION underwater vehicle—which will be showcased at XPONENTIAL 2017—combines autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), remotely-operated vehicle, and diver navigation and propulsion capabilities into one hybrid system. FUSION features a suite of sensors, including a 1080p HD low-light video camera with 135° of tilt and ultra-bright LEDs, as well as forward-looking sonar, side scan sonar, and navigation sensors. Additionally, the AUV features six thrusters, dual Lithium-Ion battery packs, an Android tablet-based human machine interface, and a low drag, ruggedized tether and reel system.
