In order to strengthen its presence in Germany and expand its global product offering,Edmund Opticshas announced an equity investment inopticscompany ITOS GmbH for an undisclosed amount of money.
Based in in Mainz, Germany,ITOS-Gesellschaft für Technische Optik mbH has manufactured optical components, including filters, polarizers and display components since 1993 and will now operate as a subsidiary of Edmund Optics. ITOS has a workforce of about 20 employees, but more than 700 customers worldwide. The ITOS product offering will be expanded and added to Edmund Optics’ catalog, exposing them to a global audience, while the investment also strengthens the company’s presence in Europe.
