New to the Ensenso line of 3D cameras from IDS are the X30 FA and X36 FA cameras, which are specifically designed for use in harsh ambient conditions. The cameras—which feature IP65/67 protection class—feature a GigE switch and two GigE uEye FA cameras, each of which is equipped with a 1.3 MPixel CMOS image sensor that can be mounted at different distances. In addition to the baseline, the vergence angle and focal distance can be freely selected, enabling the camera to be tailored to any 3D vision requirement.

Additionally, the 3D cameras feature working distances of 0.5 to 5 meters, a 100-watt projector unit on which the two GigE cameras can be mounted at different distances, and a software development kit for configuration. IDS’ X30 camera is designed for moving objects, while the X36—which features the FlexView 2 projector—is designed for stationary objects.
