To celebrate the 200thissue of Vision Systems Design magazine, we are highlighting some of the most significant developments in machine vision technology, from their origins (then) to their current capabilities (now). From the initial iteration of the pin-hole camera in the 5thcentury to the recent introduction of the USB3 Vision standard, this anniversary slideshow looks at the origins of image capturing and some of the pioneers responsible for its evolution. Throughout the slideshow we will offer "Then"and "Now" looks at some of these milestones and technological advancements.
