The global market for infrared imaging is on the rise. Last year, a report surfaced that predicted global sales in the infrared imaging market would grow from $2.18 billion in 2011 to $3.86 billion in 2017, at an estimated compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.5%. Then earlier this year, another report came out that said global sales in the infrared detector market would grow from $321.4 million in 2014 to $704.8 million 2020. With these numbers in mind, we thought we would take a look at six unique applications that utilize infrared imaging technology.
