Teledyne FLIR Expands Industrial Camera Series

New camera designed for high speed machine vision applications in harsh conditions.

Teledyne FLIR has recently launched a new addition to its Forge camera line, the Forge 1GigE IP67 series. The camera is available in a mono or color options and is equipped with a Sony Pregius IMX264 CMOS sensor with 2448 x 2048 resolution. The camera has multiple resolutions, from 1.2 to 12 MPixels and a frame rate of 24 fps.  It has onboard processing capability and can support the Sapera Image Processing Library with AI capability. It also has such on-camera features as auto-brightness, which allows the camera to quickly adjust to variable indoor and outdoor lighting conditions; multi-camera image capture synchronization; and Lossless Compression, which provides higher frame rates and lower bandwidth requirements.

Rated at IP 67, the camera is built for rugged environments and is especially designed for high- speed machine vision applications that have to be performed in harsh environments such as are found in sectors like smart agriculture, food, and beverage industries.
