Allied Vision Technologies has launched the first model in its new Goldeye infrared camera family. The camera is a short-wave infrared model with sensitivity between 900 and 1,700 nm wavelengths, and features rugged hardware for machine vision applications and a screwed interface port for secure connection. It also features a GigE Vision-compliant interface with support for Power over Ethernet and can be fitted with filters and lenses for C-, F-, and M42-Mounts. In addition, the camera features a 12-pin Hirose I/O port, which enables users to trigger and synchronize with other system components. The first model, the G-032, will be available in Q1 of 2014, and will feature an InGaAs sensor with 640 x 512 pixels and frame rates up to 100 fps. The G-032 infrared camera will be on display at SPIE Photonics West 2014 in San Francisco from February 1-6.
