EDT will showcase its new VisionLink line of Camera Link PCIe Gen 2 frame grabbers and extenders at SPIE DSS 2014 from May 5-9 in Baltimore, MD. VisionLink F1 is a 1-lane PCIe frame grabber (400MB/s) with one (or an optional two) SDR26 connectors for up to two base mode cameras, whereas VisionLink F4 is a 4-lane PCIe frame grabber (850MB/s) with two SDR26 connectors for up to two base through full mode cameras. Both frame grabbers support standard mode control lines and have an onboard universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter. In addition, the 20-85 MHz frame grabbers offer full or half-height back panels, optional IRIG-B input, and compatibility with EDT fiber optic extenders, including the VisionLink RCX, which extends Camera Link over fiber up to 100 km. VisionLink frame grabbers are suitable for use in machine vision and factory automation, robotics, scientific imaging, traffic systems, medical imaging, and security and surveillance applications.
