In the "Allied Vision Lab" at VISION 2014 in Stuttgart, Germany; Allied Vision Technologies will offer live demonstrations and first-hand examples of its latest technologies, including the Goldeye infrared camera and the Vimba intelligent software development kit. The new Goldeye model is a short-wave infrared model with sensitivity between 900 and 1,700 nm wavelengths and a GigE Vision-compliant interface with support for Power over Ethernet. The first model, the G-032 features a VGA InGaAs sensor (636 x 508 pixels with 25µm² pixel pitch) and frame rates up to 100 fps, with more models forthcoming.
AVT’s version 1.3 of its Vimba SDK now features support for ARMv7 systems and OpenMP and can be used to program and test applications on a Linux-based PC and compile it for an ARM system, shortening development time. Vimba 1.3 is GenICam-compliant and compatible with all major image processing libraries.
