Edmund Optics to provide demonstrations with new Dynamic Focus VZM lens at VISION 2014
Using its Dynamic Focus VZM lenses—which are debuting at VISION 2014—Edmund Optics will provide a live demonstration of circuit board inspection. The demonstration will show how variable depth imaging can benefit from a liquid lens. EO’s new lenses utilize an internal liquid lens and adjust focus over a 7X range, from 0.65X to 4.6X, while maintaining the zoom capabilities of the standard VZM zoom imaging lenses. The lenses feature a lockable iris, zoom control, and a rotatable mount. In addition, the focus on the lens can be controlled via the ruggedized 6-pin HIROSE connector and a USB port, while course magnification adjustments can be made manually. Software is also included for focus tuning.
