Pleora to showcase HD-SDI to USB3 Vision external frame grabber at VISION 2014

On display at Pleora’s booth at VISION 2014 will be the newly-announced iPORT HDSDI-U3 external frame grabber, which transforms HD-SDI cameras into USB3 Vision cameras. The frame grabber converts images from HD-SDI and SD-SDI cameras, video processors, and systems into uncompressed USB3 Vision-compliant vide and plugs into a wide range of computing platforms without needing a PCI/PCIe frame grabber. In addition, the iPORT HDSDI-U3 has a mountable enclosure, 120 MB frame buffer, record and playback functionality, and is USB3 Vision and GenICam compatible. It is also bundled with Pleora’s eBUS software development kit. Pleora notes that the new iPORT frame grabber is suitable for use in machine vision, microscopy, medical imaging, and military imaging applications.
