Tichawa Vision will present new double-line contact image sensor at VISION 2014
On display at Tichawa Vision’s booth at VISION 2014 will be the newly-announced VARI contact image sensor (CIS). CIS systems consist of a reading line, a lens, and a light source integrated into a single unit. The double-line sensor reaches a line rate of up to 250 kHz at 300 dpi resolution and can produce images at speeds approaching 21 m/s. CCD or CMOS image sensors are employed within the CIS, which can be mounted in a shifted or direct way. The VARI CIS system—which is manufactured in lengths of up to 4.1 meters—is suitable for use in web inspection and other machine vision inspection applications. In addition, a variety of lighting types and configurations can be implemented in a CIS, including single and double-sided diffuse illumination or coaxial illumination.
