Edmund Optics to feature multiple product demonstrations at Photonics West
At Photonics West, Edmund Optics will have on display a number of product demonstrations, from research and design to a standalone industrial system for life sciences imaging. For the R&D demonstration, a compact fixed focal length lens, camera, and illumination system were used to build the system and test the proof of concept. In the life sciences set up, a self-contained system with illumination, a micro-video lens, board level camera, and filters were utilized in order to meet both application and budget requirements while providing a turnkey solution for deploying in the field.
In addition to these demonstrations, visitors at the Edmund Optics booth can learn about the liquid lens technology-enabled Dynamic Focus VZM lens, which can seamlessly adjust focus while maintaining zoom capabilities, as compared to a traditional zoom imaging lens for variable depth imaging. Six different setups will allow users to see a comparison of lens performance, with and without liquid lenses, to determine if this technology is right for your application.
