Scientific imaging cameras from Point Grey to be showcased at Photonics West

Point Grey will showcase a variety of its latest CCD and CMOS cameras that are suitable for use in scientific imaging applications. One of these cameras is the new, low-cost board-level Chameleon3 camera, which is available in multiple form factors.

Point Grey will showcase a variety of its latest CCD and CMOS cameras that are suitable for use in scientific imaging applications. One of these cameras is the new, low-cost board-level Chameleon3 camera, which is available in multiple form factors. The first model features a 1.3 MPixel Sony ICX445 CCD that is available in color or mono and can achieve a frame rate of 30 fps.

Also on display will be the Grasshopper3 (pictured) camera line, which features CCD and CMOS sensors, including the 1.4 MPixel EXview HAD CCD II ICX825, the next generation of the Sony ICX285. Lastly, Point Grey will showcase its Blackfly camera line, including a new model that is equipped with the Sony Pregius IMX249 CMOS image sensor, which features low noise and NIR sensitivity.
