At SPIE DSS 2015 from April 21-23, Pleora will showcase its newly-launched iPORT CL-GigE external frame grabber, which converts Camera Link Base configuration cameras into GigE Vision 2.0 cameras. The frame grabber ensures reliable video transmission in -40°F to 140°F conditions, while bringing the computing, cabling, and networking advantages of Ethernet to demanding vision applications, including military imaging and factory automation. The GigE Vision and GenICam-compatible iPORT CL-GigE also features line scan and area scan modes and a 120 MB frame buffer to accommodate multi-mega pixel sensor sizes. Integrated Power over Ethernet and Power over Camera Link capabilities enable one-cable installations to further simplify design and reduce component costs. In addition, the frame grabber has an on-board PLC, which enables users to measure, synchronize, trigger, and control the operation of other vision system elements.
