Featuring a quantum efficiency of greater than 80%, the Zyla 4.2 PLUSscientific CMOS (sCMOS) camera from Andor targets various microscopy applications. The camera features a 4.2 MPixel sCMOS image sensor with a 6.5 µm pixel size that can achieve 53 fps via USB 3.0 and 100 fps via Camera Link 10-tap. Andor’s Zyla 4.2 PLUS also features application-specific modes such as LightScan PLUS, which adapts the rolling shutter scan mode to applications such as scanning light sheet microscopy and line scan confocal microscopy. Additionally, the camera can also output data at a sustained 26,041 fps from a 2048 x 8 ROI, ideal for measuring diffusion coefficients in fluorescence correlation spectroscopy.
