Embedded vision an increasingly important focus area for Basler
At embedded world 2018 in Nuremberg, Germany, Baslerwill present a new flexible camera concept for embedded vision that "offers the cost efficiency required for the consumer market and meets high-end technological standards."
Among the embedded vision products Basler will showcase from February 27 to March 1 at the show will be compact dart board-level camera modules with USB 3.0 or BCON for LVDS interfaces, as well as embedded vision kits that offer a set of tools for camera evaluation and a development kit for integration of vision into an embedded vision application. Additionally, the company will showcase software for embedded vision and Basler partner network products.
Basler will also highlight its Imaginghub portal, which offers a unique online community and web portal for engineers, software developers, and hobbyists interested in embedded vision and potential applications. The portal supports the development of embedded vision solutions from beginner to professional level.
"Our customers’ needs in the embedded vision area are directly incorporated into our product road map and have significantly influenced the development of the new camera modules," said Gerrit Fischer, Head of Product Market Management at Basler. "With our new concept, we want to give our customers the highest flexibility and offer them exactly the camera module that meets their project and market requirements."
Basler will also give numerous presentation at the tradeshow’s Exhibitors’ Forum and is part of the embedded world Conference.
