In this edition of Focus on Vision, we cover the following:

  • A vision-guided robotic system that picks up chaotically positioned random parts from containers and places them in other containers in an orderly manner. CIKAUTXO Group, a Spanish auto parts manufacturer, is using the the system in its production workflow.
  • Another system in auto parts manufacturing using vision-guided robotics, which was developed by Robooptic Systems. This one involves assembly and inspection of courtesy lights. Related: Boosting Automotive Courtesy Light Production with Machine Vision and Robotics
  • A study in which researchers developed an optical measurement system that determines the flight attitude scanning—essentially the angle and spin rate—of a flying projectile weapon to assure its accuracy.
