The PolarBerry SoM is suited for defense, automotive, industrial, imaging, and IoT applications.

Built around Microchip Technology’s PolarFire SoC FPGA, and designed for embedded applications, the PolarBerry SoM provides a deterministic. Coherent 64-bit RISC-V CPU cluster and a deterministic L2 memory subsystem to enable the implementation of secure Linux and real-time applications.

A 40-pin Raspberry Pi interface allows standalone operation and provides up to 26 GIOs. Peripherals include 42 GB of 32-bit wide DDR4 memory, 128 MB SPI Serial NOR FLASH, an RJ45 Ethernet socket with 100/1000Base-T interface, and 4 GB of eMMC non-volatile storage.

Security features include anti-cloning protection, device-level anti-tamper features, bitstream protection, key management, FPGA hardware access control, secure boot, and physical memory protection. The PolarBerry SoM measures 55 x 85 mm and has an operating temperature of 0 to 70° C.
