Machine vision software incorporates components through PLC interface

TwinCAT Vision software is a universal control platform that includes image processing, PLC communication, measurement technology, motion control, robotics, IoT, and HMIs. Configuration and programming tasks may be performed through TwinCAT Vision in a PLC environment and image processing-related control functions functions can be synchronized in real time. According to the manufacturer, this eliminates latency and improves the performance of image processing algorithms.

The software is designed to be hardware-agnostic and compatible with all cameras, area and line-scan, that feature GigE interface. Software extensions allow access to raw camera data for easy incorporation of image processing algorithms.
