3D alignment and inspection software library supports wide range of 3D sensor brands
Sept. 16, 2021
The Easy3DMatch 3D alignment and inspection library, developed with the support of the DG06 Technology Development Department, aligns scanned 3D objects with previous scans or a reference mesh; computes the local distances between 3D scans, golden sample, or reference mesh; detects anomalies; and is compatible with all 3D sensors that produce point clouds, depth maps, or height maps.
Subdomains of interest can be defined with arbitrary 2D regions on ZMaps and 3D volumes on point clouds. The 3D Viewer class of Easy3D creates interactive 3D displays for point clouds and 3D objects. It uses OpenGL interface and requires a compatible display device.
