Montreal, Quebec—Matrox® Imaging released Matrox Gecho, its new event-logging tool for Matrox Rapixo CXP frame grabbers. Matrox Gecho helps developers optimize image capture and ensure proper performance. The utility logs acquisition activity so users can troubleshoot capture errors, and measure latencies and execution times to identify performance bottlenecks. Offered with both Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) X and Matrox Design Assistant® X vision software, it records events generated by the Matrox Rapixo CXP device driver and saves these to a JSON or CSV file. Running concurrently with the device driver, Matrox Gecho logs acquisition activity, and the trace files can then be loaded into Google Perfetto for viewing on an interactively navigable graphical timeline. Matrox Rapixo CXP are quad-, dual-, and single-input CoaXPress® 2.0 frame grabbers that support data rates up to 12.5 Gbps (CXP-12) per connection and provide Power-over-CoaXPress (PoCXP) support. Certain models can also distribute image-processing workloads across multiple computers using a data-forwarding capability.
