Allied Vision has released a new version of its software development kit Vimba, which is called Vimba X. The newest version of the SDK is fully GenICam compliant and is designed to be compatible with the company's Alvium camera series. New features in Vimba X include 5 x 5 custom convolution widget; viewer with new functionality; web-based documentation available offline and online; GigE and USB transport layers; and revamped C, C++, and Python API. Vimba X runs on Windows 10 and 11, Linux, and Linux ARM (all 64-bit). The SDK also connects to third-party software such as MathWorks MATLAB, MVTec Halcon, Matrox Imaging Library, and Stemmer Common Vision Blox.
