Preview of SDK for 3D Cameras Released
Zivid has released a preview version of its update to a software development kit (SDK). The preview release, Zivid SDK 2.9, is designed for the company’s Zivid One+ and Zivid Two color 3D cameras. The new preview release has filter options including a cluster and smoothing filter to improve and remove unwanted elements and another to select the area of interest in a scene. The company also has shaved 10% off the average capture time because the capture command will return as soon as the camera has completed scanning the scene, simplifying synchronization of multiple cameras. The preview release also has some improvements in developer’s features such as setting presets for objects and an integrated in-field 3D camera correction tool. Related machine vision applications in robotics include piece picking, bin picking, precision motion, and assembly.
