Teledyne DALSA has introduced the 2023-03 version of its Sapera Vision Software, which includes enhancements to its AI training graphical tool Astrocyte 1.40 and its image processing and AI libraries tool Sapera Processing 9.40. New features include automatic hyperparameter tuning, which enables the training of AI models without the need to know complex AI parameters, and AI inference acceleration at deployment on CPU and GPU for all model types. The new release also enables the use of graphical shapes—such as rectangles, circles, and polygons—to focus on portions of interest in images. Sapera Vision Software's libraries support Teledyne DALSA cameras and frame grabbers as well as hundreds of 3rd party camera models across all common interfaces as well as emerging new image acquisition standards.
